The Cancelled Picnic

Lena and her brother Mark were planning a picnic at the park. In the morning, the sun was shining, and the sky was blue. They packed sandwiches, fruit, and juice. However, while they were getting ready, dark clouds started to cover the sky. Soon, it began to rain heavily. “Oh no,” said Lena. “What do we do now?” Mark looked outside and said, “Let’s have an indoor picnic instead!” They laid a blanket on the living room floor. They ate their food, played board games, and laughed together. Even though they couldn’t go to the park, they still had a fun day.
